Is it summer yet?

Happy June!

It sure feels like it. The heat down here is picking up quickly. Memphis was nothing like this. Maaan. Neither was Winder, and that's just 2 hours north! We aren't keeping cooped up, though. We've been out and about as much as we can stand it. This morning we took Benjamin outside to see how he would behave for some pictures. I think he enjoyed the fresh air.

Funny thing... the girl who wished Ben was dead is pregnant now. Hmm.

Anyway, I just wanted to show a picture! Lookit that cutesie fluffy bum!

Doctor Said I Could.

We had a pretty good doctor's visit today. Ben wouldn't let Dr. Stephanie set him down, he just HAD to stand up. He weighed 17.1 pounds and 25 inches long. So he's in the 90% for weight and 70% for height. Big, big boy.

She said he could have juice and water now, and that we could try the sippy. She was also glad he had started solids. Yay us!

I slept a lot today so I am hardly tired. The #clothdiapers chat was fun. Can't wait till next Monday!

Happy June, by the way!

Last day of May.

Today at church a visitor mistook Benjamin for a girl. How? Among all his blue? Dunno. He's just THAT beautiful. Well, he DOES look just like I did when I was a baby, except he has his daddy's BIG blue eyes.

CryBabyz Boutique

I've never done a product review before, but I've just got to spread the word about CryBabyz Boutique. I received some of their products as a gift when I found out that I was pregnant from the owner's son and his wife. I want to tell you about my favorite product:

This is one of the pacifier clips that you can find on the CryBabyz website. You can attach this pocket to your purse, your diaper bag, even your stroller. What I like to do is have one paci in Benjamin's vicinity, whether it be in his mouth or clipped to his shirt, and one paci in the pocket just in case we lose the one. I love it! They come in cute fabrics with coordinating fabric on the inside. It is so convenient and a great way to keep that binky clean and on-hand! I seem to always be looking for a paci around the house, but before I leave to go somewhere I always make sure I have my extra one in my CryBabyz paci clip.

Check out the Paci Clip and other great products from CryBabyz at The CryBabyz Website, follow Janet at the CryBabyz Blog, or follow Janet through the CryBabyz Twitter.

yardsale was a semi-flop.

We woke up early this morning. Well, Carl did. 7:30 is early for him. That's normal for me. Actually, before that is normal for me. Anyway. The reason being, we decided we would hit a yardsale we found advertised on Craigslist. The ad said:

I have so much to go through
Children's Item's like you would not believe
I am closing my daycare down and have alot of great sales and deals
Car seats
Booster seats
high chairs
Pack n Play's
Toys
Books
Alot of other items

We thought, "Oh! A daycare! Daycares have great stuff!"

Hohoho... great? When we got there (after passing it twice), and stepped out, little Benjamin in his seat... it was a sore disappointment. The exersaucers... oh my stars, you couldn't tell what the fabric looked like, it was SO covered in mildew. Same with some of the strollers.

We ended up getting a few things. I had to wonder if perhaps the truth was she wasn't able to keep it open for health reasons? Perhaps the county found out that all the toys and stuff ... all of it was filthy? We got a big box of toys for $5. A bumbo play tray for $5 and a booster seat for $3 (not a bumbo - we had one of those already).

So, some pictures.

We spent all afternoon washing these things THOROUGHLY.

Sweet baby fell asleep in his seat watching mommy and daddy clean his toys.

:)

*sigh*

I got some patterns at Hobby Lobby $1.99 each pack. One has a pattern for a cloth diaper. So I may take a stab at some of that. Wish me luck!
