Photo Challenge: Story

So, getting back into the groove of blogging again, I decided I’d join in on the Paper Mama’s photo challenge this week {I haven’t joined in the challenge in a while!}. The challenge is to post a picture with the theme ‘story’. I immediately thought about this picture which I took when we were in Georgia visiting my parents…

The story? Benjamin’s first fishing trip with his papaw. {As I’m writing this, Benjamin is behind me going, “That’s me and Papaw! We were going fishing in the pond!” – so there’s your story!} I used to go fishing with my dad a lot and it was really special for Benjamin to go fishing with his papaw!
I hope you all join up as well, over at the Paper Mama!

I love my sweet boy. Mother’s Day was fantastic, mostly because I got to spend it with the two boys who make my life so joyful. I hope all you Mothers out there had a great day as well!

Not-So-Wordless Wednesday: Food for Thought

THE CLOCK OF LIFE

The clock of life is wound but once, And no man has the power
To tell just when the hands will stop, At late or early hour.
To lose one's wealth is sad indeed, To lose one's health is more.
To lose one's soul is such a loss, That no man can restore.

(Thirty people died while you read this short verse.)
Every hour 5,417 go to meet their Maker.
You could have been among them.
Would you have been ready?

Strength @ The Trendy Treehouse

{A National Guard had hung his jacket up on an upturned desk while we were at the Central church of Christ in Tuscaloosa helping with the Tornado relief aid. I thought it was a good picture of strength in the middle of destruction. I can only assume he took it off so he could better help the other men taking stuff out of the destroyed church building. It was such a hot day. Everyone came together and helped one another and that is Strength.}

Wordless-ish Wednesday

{taken today}

Please say a prayer for those who have been affected by the storms.
I have seen footage of the devastation and it is unreal.

And say a prayer as we wait for the storms to pass as well.
