Body After Baby Challenge Week 3

MamaNotes

Hello friends! Week three of the Body After Baby Challenge starts today! Hooray! I really enjoyed last week's challenge! I didn't really keep track of points, but we walked for at least 2 hours on Friday night at the fair (totaled, not all at once - though it was mostly all at once). We usually try and go on a walk every night after dinner (as Benjamin permits, of course), and we are usually pretty good about it. Especially as the weather has been so nice!

This week's challenge is going to be just that for me - a challenge. It is to eat healthy. I admit it - I am not very good at eating healthy. I sit here and wonder why I still have the poundage from my pregnancy, while I call on my good friend Debbie (also known as Little Debbie) for comfort. Okay, okay. I really don't think an occasional splurge is bad - but a lot of the time it isn't just occasional.

So! I am going to work hard at that this week. Could it not come at a more difficult time? With all this PUMPKIN stuff to eat?!

Well, I'm going to try my best! Wish me luck (if you believe in it ... I, for one, don't)!

Body After Baby Challenge

I tried this before, and I'm going to try it again. Last time I didn't do too well but now that summer is out and I am not as busy (ha ha ha), I am going to attempt the Body after Baby challenge again.

This week's Mini Challenge is walking. This shouldn't be hard. Hubby and I attempt to walk every night! I missed last week's challenge, so I will squeeze that in as well. I'm going to try and drink as much water as I can. I hate drinking water. But I'm going to work my way to drinking more each day.

I hope I can stick with this this time! I really do want to get down to my pre-pregnancy weight, or as close to it as I can. Or actually I don't care as much about the weight as I care about feeling better and looking better.

Anyway!

Here's to my second shot and to walking!

Body After Baby: Start of Week One

Today is the start of the Body after Baby Challenge. I'm excited and I am nervous at the same time. I am so glad we have been put on teams! My goal for this week is to get more exercise. Currently I am trying to walk more. I'd like to walk even more, and instead of pushing a stroller, carry Benjamin.

Carl went into Kroger last night and did not return to the car with a 12pack of sodas, so that will be helpful also!

In December I am the Matron of Honor in my Brother's wedding, and then in May I am Matron of Honor in my other friend's wedding. I don't want to look awkward in my dresses so this will definitely be the START to good health.

Ultimately I want to feel better about myself. It's encouraging to see all the others who have entered the challenge too. I'm glad there are so many that will be cheering each other on. For those of you participating, way to go!

I will make a Body after Baby post at the beginning and end of each week to keep you updated.

I've been thinking of joining in on this challenge from Mama Notes for a little while now, and I'm finally just going to suck it up and do it. I talk and talk about how changed my body is and how uncomfortable I feel in my own skin but so far I have done nothing about it. I want to be healthy, and I want to get back into the shape I was before getting pregnant and giving birth (back in January). Most of all I want to be able to look at myself and actually like what I see again. I don't think there is much I can do about the multitude of stretch marks - and when I say multitude, I mean just that. Multitude. But I can do my best to eat right and to get back in shape. I at least owe it to Benjamin, right? And I owe it to my husband, I think.

Right now I am weighing in at 118. I'm not bragging, I know that is less than a lot of folks, and right around where I should be anyway. It's 9 lbs more than I started out at. I don't really care about losing the weight. I want to feel better and look better and eat better. I need to drink more water. So I will up my water intake.

Phew. This will take some will power! Please encourage me and others working toward their goals as well!!
