I Heart Faces: Anything But A Face

Good morning, friends! It is a beautiful Monday morning {though I read that we are going to get storms today so the ‘beauty’ might be a different ‘beauty’ before too long. It’s all good. I’m always reminded of that song ‘Every time I watch a storm, I know the awesome power of my Lord…’ …

Anyway, this week’s I Heart Faces photo challenge is ‘Anything But a Face’. And it’s really not that hard to get a photo without Benjamin’s face in it because honestly he’s not too hip with me getting one WITH it. So all these photos you see with his cutesy face in it is a LUCKY SHOT or one out of a million where I finally got him to glance my way. {You think I take a lot of pics, you should see all the ones I throw out!}

I love this of Benjamin looking out to our new neighborhood. Precious.

Fix-It Friday!

It has been a while since I have done a Fix-It Friday with I Heart Faces, but I couldn’t resist this one … you can see below that it was just absolutely precious, too precious to pass up!

Here’s the Original:

and here’s my LR edit:

Fix It 85 #2

She sure is a cute little punkin! Benjamin thinks so. He walked up as I finished the edit and said, “Oh! Coooot! Coooooot!” Of course, that means “cute”, which he just now started saying… which I think is very coot. I mean, cute.

Link yours up to I Heart Faces, and check out the other edits!

I Heart Faces : Photojournalism

Have you ever had to keep a secret?
What about a wonderful secret, like the gender
of your Kindred Spirit's unborn babe?
Let me tell you: it is hard!
But to see the joy on their faces when
they saw it written in the sand...

Priceless.

Edit: I just wanted everyone to know what Autumn said about the picture of Alethia at the water: "Alethia looks like she's contemplating drowning..." - ha! Well, we will just see how she deals with her baby sister in December!

I Heart Faces: All About Babies

Okay so in the last week Stacia had her baby, and my cousin Brittany had her baby. By the end of the month my other cousin will have had her baby... Hello Baby Fever! I have a SLEW of adorably pregnant friends who are due all throughout the rest of the year... HELLO BABY FEVER!

And the iheartfaces theme for this week, "All About Babies"? Do I even have to say it?

Seriously.

I chose a picture from Benjamin's first week of life. We were still in the hospital {as we had an extended stay due to massive complications}. My precious perfect baby newborn... why can't I go back to those days?

By the way, you need to head over to Stacia's blog and look at her new baby. He is precious and perfect and beautiful!

Original Fixed

Here's the large version of my LR Edit.

Fixed

I thought it needed more of a vintage feel. I mean check out that background.

Isn't that a sweet photo? I need me a pair of twins so I can take sweet photos like this! ha! You reading, Hubby?

I Heart Faces: Yellow

I dressed Benjamin in a cute yellow shirt today because I knew the I Heart Faces challenge for this week was yellow. I was so excited because I was going to have a picnic with my sweet Benjamin as soon as he woke up from his nap and I would go camera crazy on him to capture the perfect yellow picture in the warm spring sunshine.

And then we went to the E.R.

Yes, Benjamin woke up from his nap and I was going to finish up the guest bathroom cleaning before taking him outside for our picnic lunch. He was standing beside me when I flushed the toilet and after a couple seconds he just started screaming - a scream that told me he was in a lot of pain. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with him but during a diaper change soon after, we spied what looked to be visible blockage - the poor thing had felt the urge to pee and couldn't! That's painful!

To the E.R! For two hours. Without being seen. Check the diaper, the blockage seemed to have moved. And so, tired of waiting, we left. Tomorrow we will call the pediatrician.

Mommy needed to destress, so we went outside anyway and had some grapes while dinner cooked.

And so here's my I Heart Faces contribution for the week!

I Heart Faces - Yellow

Isn't that just a face that can melt away all your troubles? It is for me.

Oh, I forgot to add that as soon as we got home and went to change his diaper, Benjamin peed all over the living room. Not like a sprinkle. Like, I haven't peed since 9AM and I gotta go!

Ah, motherhood.

Fix It Friday - Oct 16, 2009

This is my first Fix It Friday, and my first time participating in I Heart Faces, but I gotta tell you ... I have fallen in love with the blog already! I think we all know how I love photography, and along with that I love editing photos!

This week's Fix It Friday is of this ADORABLE little girl ... I wonder how old she is and how far away she lives ... Matchmaker, Matchmaker ...

I kid. Benjamin already has an intended!

Anyway ... here are my edits! I did 6 because I'm obsessed. Click on the smaller pictures for full-size.
